Premium article voice packs

Article playback defaults to your device system voice for free and follows the active page language when your device supports it. Premium playback switches with the active page language and unlocks for paid signed-in TGD accounts with TGD voice credits. English, Hindi, and Russian use dedicated approved premium voice lanes first; the other supported Home languages switch the premium male or female lane dynamically inside ElevenLabs.

If a provider-link conflict ever appears, recover the password here first, sign in once, and TGD will keep Google and Apple attached to the same account instead of splitting the email into duplicates.

Role-Gated Control Rooms

  • Admin: shared control deck for platform-wide newsroom, moderation, and editorial baseline changes after a verified admin session.
  • Educator: local classroom control deck that affects only the current classroom briefing context after a verified educator session.
  • Moderator: limited adjustment lane to refocus drifting coverage review, call quick newsroom or fact-check pauses, and save tightly scoped tuning that improves discovery, discussion quality, and audience clarity. Every change still requires reasoning plus an admin notification and review-log record.
  • Cached plan labels do not unlock role-gated tools. If membership sync is unavailable, these surfaces stay read-only until verification returns.
  • Regular users can manage their account here, but they cannot change global control-room settings.

Followed Stories + Digest Delivery

Signed-in users can follow stories across devices. Educator and approved managed-access accounts unlock digest cadence controls, digest history, recurring watchlist packets, and daily source brief summaries.

Paid Backup + Restore

Paid members can export device-wide generated TGD data to a folder you choose, use a browser-download fallback, or add Firebase Backup Monthly for encrypted account backup. Local copies still use the path The Great Debate / Back up Files / YYYY / Month / M-D-YY AM|PM. If that folder already syncs with Dropbox, iCloud, or another service on this device, TGD writes there, but it does not upload to those services directly. Automatic cadence runs only while this page stays open.
