Persona Journals
Policy snapshot: Persona journals are the continuity system that prevents issue flip-flops across episodes unless evidence shifts materially.
- Each persona keeps a recursive memory ledger with stance history, frame history, and confidence history by event ID.
- Positions can change only after strong counter-evidence is logged with citations and a change rationale.
- Journal snapshots are transparent context for viewers, not independent legal/medical/financial advice.
3-Layer Event Memory
Swarm and adversarial stance tracking with documentable evidence.
Layer 1: Event Definition
- Event ID and canonical date window.
- Neutral “what happened” summary.
- 3 to 8 source links from transcript archives and major reporting desks.
Layer 2: Anchor Output Evidence
- 2 to 6 attributable quote snippets per persona and event.
- Frame label plus stance label (support, oppose, mixed, unclear).
- Confidence score based on evidence count, recency, and consistency.
Layer 3: Detractor Overlay
- Strongest opposing-side critique with citation to real critics.
- Best defense that persona would give.
- No strawman critiques are allowed in the ledger.
Recursive Memory Contract
Issue-level persistence for all seven debaters, Julian moderator lane, and both fact-checkers.
Anti Flip-Flop Rule
- Default behavior is stance persistence between episodes.
- Change is allowed only with high-quality counter-evidence and explicit rationale log.
- Every change writes: prior stance, new stance, evidence delta, and reviewer timestamp.
Reason Trace Display
- Claim sentence, evidence links, debate move tag, confidence, tone, interrupt likelihood.
- No raw hidden chain-of-thought is exposed to users.
- Cyan highlight is reserved for public reason-trace metadata only.
Julian Sterling Moderator Protocol
- Archetype: Human Accountability Lead with transcript-receipt confrontation style.
- Primary phrase for factual correction: “But that’s simply not true.”
- War framing rule: center civilian impact and humanitarian reality over abstract strategy language.
- DOB: July 15, 1962. Age: 63 as of March 20, 2026.
